Kidia is an interesting village located at the steep slopes of Mountain Kilimanjaro in a place known as Old Moshi. This village is one of those few villages that boarders immediately with Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park Rain Forest. The uniqueness of this village is about its terrains, culture, the people and immense availability of flora and fauna. It’s an important destination to learn how people coexist with nature, history and its ecological system. The village also provides spectacular Mambori water falls and traditional dance.

Day 1: Arrival and Orientation
Briefing about the village. Dinner and rest at the Campsite or home stay.
Day 2: Early morning bird watching and photographs
Walking around the village; learn how people live, enroute visiting Mangi Meli Museum a famous Chaga hero to get the Chaga people history dated back in 1800s.
Walk back to Campsite/home stay via other Kidia historical sites for overnight.
Day 3: Leave base in the morning after breakfast to Mambori waterfalls
Leave base in the morning after breakfast to Mambori waterfalls.
Afternoon hiking to the Kilimanjaro National park boarder for continued acclimatization and mountain view points.
Back to base forbarbeque and traditional music dance (mtingo)
Day 4: Breakfast and departure for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
Six routes are available i.e Rongai, Marangu, Umbwe, Machame, Lemosho, Londross.
Lemosho Route:
Travel from Moshi town to Londrosi gate. This is a long day dominated by the drives from Moshi to Londros get, where all of requisite formalities for entering the national park are completed. From here you will be then driven back 4km heading on to Lemosho Glades trail head. You will  eventually start climbing the mountain on foot. By this stage of the day there is only time for a brief foray on to the forested lower western slopes of Kilimanjaro. Leading to Mti mkubwa campsite (2700m altitude) 7km takes 2-3hrs.
Day 5: From big tree camp site to Shira1 campsite 7km
Takes 4-5hrs at camp 3600m above sea level.
This is a long day that see you leave the confines of the forest and gain the edge of the shira plateau from where exceptional views of kibo far to the east can be enjoyed.
Day 6: Shira 1 to Shira 2 campsite
Takes 2-3hrs distance 7 km altitudes 3850m asl
This is a very short gentle day that takes you across the heart of the plateau, but results in only a slightly altitude gain. As such its very good for acclimatisation purposes. Allow your body to adopt gradually to the sensation of being at altitude. There is alternative route from Shira 1to Shira 2 campsite, that has recently opened up and goes via the Shira Cathedral and the southern rim of the plateau. Slightly tougher than the standard trek.
Day 7: Shira 2 to Baranko via laver tower
Distance 10 km time 5-6hrs with 3950 mask.
This is acclimatisation day, hiking to Laver tower which is about 4600 m asl as the highest point for a day, and gradually descent to baranco campsite with 3950 this will be crossing Alpine zone.
Day 8: Barranco to Barafu
Distance 10 km time 6 -7hrs with 4600 m ask. Via Katanga camp A.
This is a long day, crossing Baranco wall. At the top of Baranco wall is 4200 asl. Gradually down up to Karanga camp site 4100 m, either at this camp for some clients whom are tired prefer to stay at this camp before base camp.
From Karanga to Barafu takes 2 -3 hrs to Barafu. This gives clients enough time at basa camp ready for night summit.
Day 9: Barafu to Uhuru peak
Distance 6 km time 6hrs altitude is 5895 m asl.
This is real tough day, start hiking from middle night, in the morning you will be back to base camp for break and lunch then decent to Mweka campsite. It takes 4 hrs altitude 3100m for dinner and sleep. Either for those who are tired may stay at high campsite with 3750m asl.
Day 10: Leave weak camp to Mweka gate
Distance 10 km, time 3hrs.
This day will cross rain forest to Mweka gate where we are going to sigh out and get certificate, and vehicle to pickup to the Campsite Kidia.
Exceptional warm shower, get together party, dinner and drinks and rest.
Day 11: Breakfast and transfers
Breakfast and transfers.
